Have You Ever Delayed a Fusion Because You Couldn't Decide?

I ran into something interesting during my latest Pokémon Infinite Fusion playthrough, and I'm curious if anyone else has the same habit.
There were several times when I had all the Pokémon I needed for a fusion, but I still didn't go through with it. It wasn't because I was missing an item or waiting for a better level. I simply couldn't decide if it was the right choice.
Instead of making the fusion, I kept playing.
I told myself I'd think about it later, but every time I opened my PC, I ended up asking the same question again. "Should I do it now, or should I wait in case I find an even better partner?"
That happened more often than I expected.
At first, I thought I was just being careful, but after a while I realized I was making the game more complicated than it needed to be. I wasn't stuck because the game was difficult. I was stuck because there were so many interesting possibilities.
The funny thing is that some of the Pokémon I was saving never even made it onto my final team. I spent hours thinking about them, only to discover another combination later that I liked even more.
That made me wonder if planning too much was actually hurting my experience.
A few days later I started looking through different Pokémon to refresh my memory and see if there were any species I had forgotten about. During that search I spent some time on . It was useful because I came across several Pokémon that I hadn't considered using before, and it gave me a few fresh ideas without telling me exactly what team to build.
Later, I decided to try an infinite fusion calculator whenever I couldn't make up my mind. I wasn't trying to build the strongest team or copy someone else's choices. I simply wanted to compare a few ideas before committing to one.
It actually helped me spend less time thinking and more time playing.
Since then, I've stopped trying to make every fusion perfect. If a combination seems fun, I give it a chance. If it doesn't work out, I move on and try something else. I've realized that changing my team once or twice isn't a bad thing. It's part of the experience.
Another thing I've noticed is that my favorite team members usually aren't the ones I carefully planned from the beginning. More often than not, they're the unexpected fusions I created on a whim because I was curious.
I've also started appreciating Pokémon that I ignored for years. In the main series games, there were plenty of Pokémon I never gave much attention to. Infinite Fusion completely changed that because the right partner can make almost any Pokémon feel interesting.
One of my favorite moments happened when I created a fusion with very low expectations. I only made it because I wanted to fill an empty spot on my team. A few gyms later, it had become one of my most reliable Pokémon, and I couldn't imagine replacing it.
Moments like that remind me why I enjoy this game so much.
No matter how carefully I plan, the game always manages to surprise me. That's something I hope never changes.
I've also stopped comparing my team to what other players are using. Everyone enjoys the game differently, and I think that's one of its biggest strengths. Some people enjoy building the strongest possible team, while others just want to experiment with creative combinations. Neither approach is wrong.
These days, I care more about enjoying the journey than creating the perfect lineup.
I'm sure I'll still change my mind from time to time, but I don't think that's a problem anymore. Every playthrough teaches me something new, and every unexpected fusion gives me another reason to start a fresh game later.

Have you ever delayed making a fusion because you weren't completely sure it was the best choice? Did you eventually make it, or did you end up finding something even better? I'd love to hear how other players deal with those moments because I can't be the only one who spends more time deciding than actually fusing Pokémon.
