Where the Honey Comes From
Sunhighlands sources its Manuka Honey from the pristine coastal forests around Byron Bay, an area known for its strong concentration of Australian Leptospermum plants. These plants naturally contain Methylglyoxal (MGO), which gives Manuka its unique strength and value. The honey is harvested without sugar feeding, antibiotics, or chemical treatments, staying true to the brand’s clean and responsible approach.
Their Forest Organic Honey comes from certified organic beehives in Central West NSW. This region provides untouched bushland where bees can gather nectar freely. The honey is harvested and produced under strict ACO (Australian Certified Organic) regulations, ensuring it remains natural, untreated, and unfiltered. Traces of pollen, propolis and beeswax may remain — a natural sign that the honey hasn’t been over-processed.
