Thank you for sharing your experience. I will remove my current installation and try a fresh copy. Hopefully that will solve the black screen problem and allow me to play CS 1.6 again.

Hi everyone. I recently decided to install CS 1.6 again after not playing for several years. The installation seemed to complete successfully, but now I have a strange problem. Every time I launch the game, I only see a black screen. Sometimes I can hear the menu music in the background, but the game itself never appears. I tried changing compatibility settings, updating graphics drivers, and running the game as administrator, but none of these solutions worked. Has anyone experienced this issue with Counter Strike 1.6 before? I would appreciate any suggestions because I would really like to get the game running properly again.
